The Elections Commission manages and conducts all elections in Brockton and maintains all election records. The Commission is also responsible for voter registration.

As a non-partisan resource, the Elections Commission is a great place to start for anyone interested in running for public office. The Elections Commission also conducts the city’s annual census. Each year, a census form is mailed out to all Brockton residents. The information from that survey helps to determine the city’s eligibility for many important programs and grants.

Register to Vote Online

Secretary of the Commonwealth, William Francis Galvin is pleased to announce that online voter registration is available in the Commonwealth through the portal launched by his office.This important advancement will make registration easier and more convenient as well as cut costs relating to the printing of voter registration forms.

Elections Commission - City of Brockton (5)Massachusetts citizens can apply online by visiting Secretary Galvin’s website at www.sec.state.ma.us and clicking the “Elections & Voting” button to access the online application system. Any Massachusetts citizen who has a valid identification card issued by the Registry of Motor Vehicles will be able to use the online system to apply to register to vote, update their address or change their party enrollment.

Massachusetts citizens who do not have identification issued by the Registry of Motor Vehicles can still complete an application online which they can print, sign and mail or hand-deliver to their local election official.

Due to the COVID pandemic and the commitment to keep their tenants safe the Douglas House (2A) and Connemara Senior Living formerly Emmanuel House (4A) have asked us to move the polling location. Douglas House will vote at Barrett Russell School at 45 Oakdale St. and Connemara Senior Living will vote at the Gilmore School, 150 Clinton St.
